So, I was always curious about that yogic astrology stuff, you know, how the stars and planets could tell us something about ourselves. I decided to give it a try and see what it was all about. Here’s how it went down:

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to generate my birth chart. I found some online tools and put in my birth details, like the date, time, and place I was born. The chart came out looking like a pizza with all these symbols and lines. I had to look up what all those meant, but basically, it showed where the planets were when I popped into the world. It was pretty cool to see, like a snapshot of the sky at that exact moment. I found this whole process quite interesting and decided to record it.
Learning the Basics
Next, I started reading some books on astrology. Nothing too heavy, just some beginner stuff to get the hang of it. I learned about the different signs of the zodiac, like Aries, Taurus, and so on. Each sign has its own traits, like Aries being all fiery and energetic, while Taurus is more chill and grounded. It was fun to see which sign my Sun, Moon, and other planets were in and think about how that might relate to my personality.
Digging Deeper
After that, I learned about houses. These are like different areas of life, such as career, relationships, and family. The chart is divided into 12 houses, and each planet’s position in a house tells you something about that area of your life. I went back to my birth chart and checked the placement of the ascendant lord, Moon, and Sun. It got a bit tricky to understand how the signs and houses mixed together, but I took it one step at a time. I also checked the rest of the planets and tried to figure out how they might affect me. For example, if Mars, the planet of action, was in my career house, it could mean I’m ambitious and driven in my work. I also checked for functional malefic and functional benefic planets in my chart, which was not an easy task.
Checking for Aspects
Then there were aspects, which are the angles between planets. Some angles are considered harmonious, while others create tension. This part was a bit more complicated, so I had to do some extra reading to understand how it all worked. I found some aspects in my chart and thought about how they could play out in my life. For instance, if my Sun and Moon had a challenging aspect, it could mean I have inner conflicts or struggle to balance my emotions and actions.
Putting It All Together
Finally, I tried to put all the pieces together and see the big picture. I looked at the overall balance of elements in my chart, like how much fire, earth, air, and water I had. This gave me a general sense of my temperament and how I approach life. It wasn’t easy to get a clear, complete picture, but I started to see some patterns and themes in my chart that resonated with me. This experience really made me think about my strengths and weaknesses in a new way.
Reflecting on the Experience
All in all, diving into yogic astrology was a pretty interesting journey. It wasn’t like getting a fortune told or anything, but it was a cool way to reflect on myself and my life. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert now, but I definitely have a better understanding of how it all works. I am planning to keep learning and exploring my chart, and maybe even compare it with friends’ charts to see what I can find. It’s like a fun, cosmic puzzle to figure out.
