Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into astrology lately, like really deep. I’ve always known my sun sign (Libra, hey!), but I recently found out my rising sign is Sagittarius. And let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a mind-bender figuring out how these two energies play together. So I started documenting it all.
First Steps: Getting the Basics Down
First things first, I needed to actually confirm my rising sign. I used a birth chart calculator. Punched in my birth date, time (super important!), and location. Boom! Sagittarius rising confirmed.
Then came the research. I spent, I don’t know, hours reading about Sagittarius rising traits. Things like:
- Optimistic: Yeah, I can be pretty upbeat, even when things are rough.
- Adventurous: Always down for a new experience, a road trip, trying a weird new food…you name it.
- Independent: I definitely value my freedom. Don’t fence me in!
- Blunt: Okay, this one’s a bit…challenging. I can be too honest sometimes.
Libra Sun in the Mix
But then I had to factor in my Libra sun. Libras are all about:
- Harmony: We crave balance and peace.
- Relationships: We love being around people, connecting, making friends.
- Fairness: Justice is a big deal for us.
- Indecisiveness: Oh boy, the struggle is REAL. Making decisions can be torture.
The Clash (and the Harmony)
So, here’s where it gets interesting. You’ve got this fiery, independent Sagittarius rising energy pushing me to explore, be spontaneous, and speak my mind. But then my Libra sun is like, “Whoa there, let’s think about this, consider everyone’s feelings, and maybe not say everything that pops into your head.”
I started noticing this internal tug-of-war in my daily life. For example:
- Making Plans: Sagittarius rising wants to just go – no itinerary, no concrete plans. Libra sun needs to weigh all the options, make sure everyone’s happy, and find the “perfect” restaurant.
- Social Situations: Sagittarius rising might blurt out something unintentionally offensive. Libra sun immediately kicks in with damage control, trying to smooth things over.
- Work style: Sagittarius likes to charge, get things started. Libra steps in when it is time to delegate and make sure that the environment in the office is peaceful and harmonic.
Putting it All Together
It has been a long process, but I think I am finally getting it, after journaling about it for a while.
Now I try to use my Sag rising to take those risks, try new things, and not be afraid to put myself out * when I am feeling lost or can’t make a decision, that’s my sign to turn to my Libra sign, and balance my feelings.
It’s still a work in progress. It’s not like I’ve suddenly become a perfectly balanced, harmonious individual. But I’m way more aware of these different parts of myself, and I’m learning to navigate them better. It’s like having two different toolkits – I can choose the right tools for the situation. And that, my friends, is pretty darn cool.
