Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into astrology lately, trying to figure out my life’s purpose and all that jazz. I stumbled upon this “North Node” thing and got curious, especially when I saw “North Node trine Sun” in my natal chart. So I decided to track what happened, just to see if this aspect played out in any noticeable way.

Getting Started: Figuring Out What It All Means
First, I had to actually understand what this aspect even means. I’m no astrology expert, so I hit up the internet. From what I gathered, the North Node represents your karmic path, your soul’s mission in this life. The Sun is your core self, your ego, your vitality. A trine is a supposedly “easy” aspect, suggesting a harmonious flow between these two energies.
So, North Node trine Sun should mean that my core self (Sun) is naturally aligned with my soul’s purpose (North Node). It’s like I’m subconsciously pulled towards my destiny, with opportunities just kind of popping up without me having to force anything. Sounds pretty good, right?
Tracking the Action (or Lack Thereof?)
Now, the hard part: actually observing this in my daily life. I decided to keep a journal, specifically noting any instances where I felt a strong pull towards something new, a sense of purpose, or a situation where things just “clicked” effortlessly. I started simple, to keep it more detailed.
- Week 1: Nothing huge. I did feel a weird urge to sign up for a pottery class, which is totally out of character for me. I’m usually more of a “stay home and read” kind of person. But I went with it. Felt good, but nothing earth-shattering.
- Week 2: Met some cool people at the pottery class. We started talking about starting a little art collective, just for fun. This felt more “North Node-y” – a sense of collaboration and creating something bigger than myself.
- Week 3: At the pottery class and talked more about the little art collective, and I found it’s really interesting!
- Week 4: Got a random email about a local art fair looking for vendors. The art collective idea suddenly seemed a lot more real. We decided to apply.
- Week 5: We put an application together, which it is really a lot of fun. I think this is a good start!
The “Aha!” Moment (Maybe?)
The art fair application was the big one. It felt like a clear manifestation of the North Node trine Sun. My desire to express myself creatively (Sun) aligned perfectly with this opportunity to step into a bigger role, collaborate with others, and put myself out there (North Node). It wasn’t something I consciously planned; it just… unfolded.
Ongoing Observations
I’m still tracking this, of course. The art fair is still a few weeks away, so who knows what will happen. But so far, I’m seeing a definite pattern of “easy” opportunities and a feeling of being guided towards something that feels right. It’s not like I’m magically achieving all my dreams overnight, but there’s a subtle sense of flow and purpose that wasn’t there before.
I keep to record every detail about it. It’s a sense of being in the right place, at the right time, and my own actions make me more confident and strong.
It’s not always obvious, and some days I feel like nothing’s happening. But overall, I’m starting to believe that this North Node trine Sun thing might actually be a real influence in my life. It’s a work in progress, but it’s been a fun experiment so far!
