Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into astrology lately, and I wanted to share my personal journey of understanding my own chart. Today, it’s all about my “big three”: Leo Sun, Leo Moon, and Sagittarius Rising. I’m gonna walk you through how I figured this all out and what it’s been like.

First Steps: Getting My Birth Chart
First things first, I needed my birth chart. I remember going online, It was super easy. I just plugged in my birth date, exact time (thanks, Mom!), and the city I was born in. Boom! There it was, my whole astrological blueprint.
Decoding the Sun Sign: Leo, Leo, Leo!
I already kinda knew I was a Leo, because, you know, my birthday. But seeing it officially on my chart made it real. I started reading up on Leo traits – bold, creative, passionate, a bit dramatic (okay, maybe very dramatic sometimes). Honestly, it felt like someone had been spying on me. I’ve always loved being the center of attention, and I’m definitely not afraid to express myself.
The Moon Sign: Double the Leo
Next up, my Moon sign. Turns out, it’s also Leo! I was like, “Whoa, double Leo?” This is where it got interesting. My Moon sign represents my inner emotions, my private self. So, having a Leo Moon means my emotional world is also fiery and intense. I feel things deeply. I realized I crave recognition and appreciation not just outwardly, but also in my close relationships. I need to feel seen and valued for who I am, even when I’m not “performing.”
Rising Sign: The Sagittarius Surprise
My Rising sign, or Ascendant, was the biggest surprise: Sagittarius. This is the “mask” you wear, how you come across to others. I always thought I was pretty straightforward, but Sagittarius is all about adventure, optimism, and a love of freedom. I started thinking about how I interact with people, and it clicked. I do have this restless energy, this constant need to explore and learn. People probably see me as more outgoing and adventurous than I sometimes feel inside (thanks to that double Leo need for validation, haha).
Putting It All Together
So, what does it all mean to have a Leo Sun, Leo Moon, and Sagittarius Rising? For me, it’s been about understanding the different layers of my personality. I’m learning to embrace my Leo fire – both the outward showmanship and the inner intensity. It’s also made me more aware to the Sagittarian influence, pushing me to seek new experiences, to travel, and keep learning, and do my best to say “YES” to things more.
I’ve realized that sometimes my Leo side can clash with my Sagittarius rising. Like, I might crave attention (Leo), but also feel this urge to just run off and do my own thing (Sagittarius). It’s a constant balancing act! But it’s also what makes me, me.
This whole astrology thing has been a fun and insightful journey. It’s not about predicting the future or anything, but more about understanding myself better. And honestly, who doesn’t want that?
